Former AEW Star Backstage At TNA Wrestling Tapings

A recently departed AEW star was backstage at this past week’s TNA Impact television tapings amid their free agency.

Former AEW and WWE star Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger) is now officially a free agent, with his AEW contract coming to an end on January 1, 2024.

There has been speculation about what could be next for the former Pinnacle member, and we may now have a better idea of where he may end up.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Spears was backstage at this past weekend’s TNA Wrestling tapings in Orlando, Florida.

Spears lives in the Orlando area and was spotted backstage, with several noting that they saw him with Scott D’Amore at the Gorilla position for about 20 minutes.

There has been numerous free agents brought into TNA since the company’s rebrand at Hard to Kill, most notably Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) and Ash by Elegance (Dana Brooke).

Other names who were backstage at the tapings were Mason Maddon and Mansoor of MxM and former NXT star Alex Zayne.

Several names have also recently departed the company, including former Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, who has since signed with AEW.
