There has been an update on the status of former AEW star Brian Pillman Jr potentially joining WWE following his departure from AEW.
Pillman left AEW last month after his contract with the company expired, with him being spotted at the WWE Performance Center shortly after his depature.
Pillman reportedly had a tryout with the company, and he is seemingly on his way to WWE.
Per PWInsider, Pillman is slated to be at tomorrow night’s (August 8) WWE NXT taping in Orlando.
Pillman being at the taping doesn’t mean he will appear on the show, but he is ‘believed to have signed’ with the company following his tryout.
Pillman is not the only name on their way into WWE, with former NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane on her way back to the company soon.

Former WWE star Carlito has also reportedly re-signed with the company, but is yet to return to the company.
