Former Champions Set For In-Ring Return To WWE NXT

Former NXT Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain are set for their in-ring return on the April 16 edition of WWE NXT.

On the April 9 episode of WWE NXT, Axiom and Nathan Frazer defeated The Wolf Dogs’ Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin to win the NXT Tag Team Championships. Post match, The Final Testament’s Karrion Kross and The Authors of Pain made their return to the brand to attack the new champions.

This marked the former NXT Tag Team Champions return to the brand that they started on back in 2016.

On April 14, WWE announced that The Authors of Pain will make their in-ring return when they face Edris Enofe and Malik Blade on the April 16 edition of NXT.

Axiom and Frazer will be watching closely and looking to get a measure of revenge after the attack from The Final Testament.

Akam and Rezar of The Authors of Pain will also be in action when they face The Street Profits, Legado Del Fantasma and New Catch Republic in a four-way match on the April 19 episode of SmackDown.

This bout will determine the number one contenders and first challengers for Austin Theory and Grayson Waller’s SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
