Former ECW Champion to Debut for MLW

I has been announced via MLW‘s Twitter that former ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer will be making his debut in a War Games match at MLW: War Games.

The War Games match is currently set to be Dreamer, John Hennigan (Morrison, Mundo, Impact, etc.), Shane Strickland, Kotto Brazil, and Barrington Hughes vs. Sami Callihan, Jimmy Havoc, Leon Scott, Sawyer Fulton, and an unannounced participant.

Tommy Dreamer most recently faced Eddie Edwards in a House of Hardcore match at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary XVI on July 22nd. Dreamer was defeated by Edwards in what was meant to be a passing-of-the-torch type match.

The Battle Riot was won by “Filthy” Tom Lawlor who will receive a shot at the MLW World Heavyweight Championship, which is currently held by Low Ki.

MLW: War Games will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on September 6.
