Former WWE Star Says It Would Take ‘Cash & Creative’ For A Return

Many previously released WWE stars have made their return to the company since Triple H initially took over as the head of creative back in July 2022.

Among those names was Chelsea Green, who re-emerged in the company during the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match, and has since gone on to become a Women’s Tag Team Champion.

With Chelsea making her return, it’s long been speculated that her real-life husband Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) could also end up back in the company.

Speaking to Fightful, Cardona said that he is currently having so much fun as the ‘Indie God’ character, but he would obviously listen to any phone call from WWE.

He said:

“Listen, if I get a phone call right now, of course I’d pick it up and we’d have a conversation. I’d be lying if I said I never wanted to wrestle at Madison Square Garden again or wrestle at WrestleMania again, but for right now, I’m having the time of my life, I’m having so much fun, I’m making so much money.

“What would it take? Cash and creative, you know? There’s no guarantees in wrestling, but I’d need some intention, you know what I’m saying? I don’t just want to be another guy on the roster, been there and done that, and nothing against that, but I did that. I’m over it.”
