Former WWE Star Wants To Be Signed In 2024 WWE

Former WWE and AEW star Lio Rush has expressed his desire to be signed in 2024 after becoming a free agent.

2024 is set to be one of the biggest years in wrestling when it comes to free agents with several stars from WWE, AEW and NJPW set to hit the market.

Among those free agents is former WWE and AEW star Lio Rush. The 29 year old star is coming off a successful run in NJPW last year where he shared the ring with the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Hiromu Takahashi and others.

In a new interview with Fightful’s Grapsody Podcast, Lio Rush explained why he wants to be signed to a new deal with a promotion in 2024. He said:

“In 2024, I’m looking for a home. That’s the main thing that I’m looking for in 2024 is stability.”

“I think what a lot of people are doing right now, with wrestling here and wrestling there, wrestling is really at a hot point right now and everybody’s excited.”

“Everybody wants to collaborate, everybody wants to get the rub, everybody wants to be everywhere. Everybody wants to be seen everywhere.”

“I feel like for me, I’ve done that for the past two, three years now. I’ve bounced from here to there. That’s not really something I’m looking for right now.”

Following his release from WWE in 2020, Lio Rush briefly had a stint with AEW after debuting in May 2021 and signing in September of that same year. However, his deal expired in February 2022.

Rush has revealed a CM Punk pitch during his run with the promotion, which you can read here.
