A few days before his return to Impact Wrestling last weekend, WrestleTalk’s Louis Dangoor had the pleasure of interviewing EC3.
During their interview, the former WWE star opened up about his time working for WWE, working with Dean Ambrose/Jon Moxley, and revealed that he was actually planning to ask for his release before Coronavirus.

During the interview, the former 24/7 Champion also recalled a funny story he was told by someone on the WWE creative team about Vince McMahon watching Impact Wrestling.
When asked if he thought Vince McMahon was aware of the work he had done outside of WWE after his first release and before he rejoined in 2018, here’s what EC3 had to say:
“I think [Vince McMahon] had no clue. I actually heard one time, there was a meeting and they were watching Impact and I came out and I dont even remember who told me, but somebody in creative, and [Vince] was like ‘Who is this guy? We should get him.’. They’re like, “Derrick Bateman.” He’s like, “who?”
That is certainly not the only interesting story to come out about Vince McMahon from our interview with EC3. He also spoke about Vince wanting to repackage him as a weatherman based on the way he talked.
