A former WWE star has said that they believe NXT’s Rhea Ripley should be headlining main roster shows on Monday Night Raw.
The Bella Twins have recently sang the praises of a few current WWE stars, including the former NXT Women’s Champion.
Rhea Ripley’s 2020 had its ups and downs. While she had big matches against the likes of Charlotte Flair and Io Shirai, Ripley became lost in the shuffle for a large portion of the year.
Ripley admitted that her confidence was tainted after losing at WrestleMania and being sent back to The Gold Brand. Somebody who hasn’t lost confidence in Ripley is Brie Bella, who thinks the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion should be main eventing WWE shows.
Appearing on Pretty Big Deal, Brie Bella told Ashley Graham that she’s disappointed that Ripley isn’t on Raw or Smackdown yet. Noting she should’ve been called up long ago, Brie said:
“I’m actually bummed she’s not on the main roster yet because she constantly puts out great matches. Her look is incredible, she’s presence going to the ring. She’s still in NXT, which is great for NXT, but she should have been on the main roster years ago. Especially her storyline with Charlotte. I was like, ‘That’s someone who should be headlining Raw.”
Sasha Banks was also mentioned in the interview, as Nikki Bella noted that she’d always predicted The Boss’ success. Stating that Banks has it all, Nikki said:
“I’ve always called it about Sasha Banks. Since the day she debuted, even right before she debuted. She has it all, what you look at in a WWE superstar. She’s an incredible wrestler and an entertaining superstar. The minute she hits the ramp and comes through the curtain, you’re just locked in on her.”
The Bella Twins also praised Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan for their incredible ranges.
With Ripley rumoured to debut on the main roster soon, Brie Bella could see the former NXT Champion in the main event sooner than she thinks.
