While it has been nearly two months since All Out, former WWE star Matt Sydal is set to make his AEW Dynamite debut this week. He made his debut with the company at All Out in the Casino Battle Royale.
Since then, Sydal has worked primarily on AEW Dark as well as the episode of Late Night Dynamite. However, this will be his first match on their flagship show. As All Elite Wrestling has announced, Sydal will be facing the number one contender, Eddie Kingston.

It was previously reported that the Abadon vs. Tay Conti match had been pulled from the show due to injury. With this tweet, AEW has seemingly confirmed this.
While the two have crossed paths a handful of times in tag team matches over the years, this will be their first singles match since 2005. To date, their lone singles match took place in IWA-Mid South and resulted in a no contest.
Sydal was unable to win the Casino Battle Royale and lost his match to Shawn Spears on Late Night Dynamite. Since then, he was won four straight matches on AEW Dark.
Kingston will be looking to continue his momentum as he prepares for his main event match at Full Gear. He is set to challenge Jon Moxley to an I Quit match for the AEW World Championship.
