Former WWE tag team The Grizzled Young Veterans say they are enjoying exploring their options following their WWE departure.
It was announced in October 2023 that Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid of the Dyad were departing the promotion following the expiration of their WWE contracts.
Since then, The Grizzled Young Veterans, now known as Zack Gibson and James Drake, have been tearing it up on the independent wrestling scene, competing for DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling, Over The Top Wrestling and other promotions.
Speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Gibson and Drake teased their upcoming plans and expressed how excited they are to explore their different options. Gibson said:
“Without giving too much away, all of them are on the radar. We’re literally just enjoying exploring our options.”
On potentially returning to WWE, Gibson stated:
“If this is the end, at least we go out doing what we enjoy doing. But if it works out, we get to circle right back to where we were at before in the first place. Why don’t you just see where we fly first, and then we’ll land somewhere when we’re ready to land.”
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on The Grizzled Young Veterans’ free agent status when they become available.
