A top free agent, long-linked with a move to WWE, has addressed fresh reports that the company has an interest in signing him.
Nick Aldis, who just got wrapped up with a short-term deal with IMPACT Wrestling is now once again free to talk to other companies, with a recent report from PWInsider stating that the company carry “high interest” in bringing him on board.
While one would obviously assume this is for a wrestling capacity, PWInsider’s report stated instead that WWE intended on brining in Aldis as a producer, surprising given the former IMPACT World Champion is only 36-years-old.
Aldis was recently asked about these rumors specifically on Konnan’s K100 podcast, although he would not confirm or deny that report.
Aldis did have some nice words for the company however, deciding to put over WWE’s merchandise available currently, saying:
“I cannot confirm or deny (rumors of me going to/talking to WWE about heading to the company as a producer)… I happen to think there’s a wide range of incredible merchandise available at WWE Shop.”
As well as his success in IMPACT across two different spells, Aldis was the unquestionable face of the National Wrestling Alliance promotion between 2017 and 2022.
Despite the success both Aldis and the NWA shared during his time there, their relationship ended on sour terms, with Aldis even revealing that he is still owed money from the promotion – to read more details about this click here.
