A top star has claimed that NWA still owes him money.
After several years as the top star and face of the promotion, Nick Aldis made the decision to leave the National Wrestling Alliance in 2022 after a backstage issues with the company.
Aldis would then make his return to IMPACT Wrestling at the Rebellion pay-per-view in April 2023. He went on to spend over two months with the promotion before finishing up after Slammiversary.
On the latest episode of K100 with Konnan & Disco, the former IMPACT World Champion was asked about his NWA exit and his thoughts on NWA’s Director of Talent Relations Pat Kenney. He answered:
“I don’t wanna air dirty laundry but he showed his true colors with my exit from the NWA. I don’t wanna get into it too much but, they owe me money and it’s probably never gonna come and Pat kind of — I felt betrayed by Pat. I’ll just leave it at that.”
As previously reported, PWInsider reported there is “high interest” in Aldis from WWE and he’s been internally discussed for a potential producer role. When asked about the WWE rumors, Aldis answered:
“I cannot confirm or deny (rumors of me going to/talking to WWE about heading to the company as a producer)… I happen to think there’s a wide range of incredible merchandise available at WWE Shop.”
There is no word on when or if Nick Aldis has talked to WWE since his IMPACT Wrestling departure.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on Nick Aldis when they become available.
