Recently Departed WWE Stars File For Several New Trademarks

James Drake and Zack Gibson of the Grizzled Young Veterans filed for several trademarks ahead of their WWE departures.

The former NXT UK Tag Team Champions became free agents on October 14, after their WWE contracts expired.

According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office, both James Drake (as James Dowell) and Zack Gibson (Jack Rea) filed applications to trademark ‘GRIZZLED YOUNG VETERANS’ and ‘GYV’ on October 13.

The following descriptions accompanied the filings:

Mark For: GRIZZLED YOUNG VETERANS™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests;

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a sports or a professional athlete;

Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer;

Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.

Mark For: GYV™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests;

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a sports or a professional athlete;

Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer;

Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.

Both stars also filed applications to trademark their respective ring names, ‘JAMES DRAKE‘ and ‘ZACK GIBSON’, also intended for use surrounding ‘Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests’.
