Rhea Ripley was confirmed to debut tonight on WWE Raw. The rumors were she would be the next challenger for Asuka with Charlotte Flair at home recovering from COVID.
Asuka faced Peyton Royce tonight on Raw. After Asuka forced Royce to tap out, Rhea Ripley made her way down to the ring.
She actually mentioned why Charlotte was at home. After that, she simply challenged Asuka for a match at WrestleMania. Asuka yelled at her in Japanese.

She then told her that she accepted and Ripley wasn’t ready for Asuka. The announcers said the match wasn’t official, but it will most likely be a matter of time.
