Impact Wrestling vs. ROH Match Confirmed!
Moving away from WWE and we’re now just three months away from Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea, and it looks like the theme for the four days of wrestling, podcasts, music and sea sickness has been confirmed with their next match announcement.
It had previously been rumored that the theme for Jericho’s cruise would be Ring of Honor vs. Impact Wrestling, which was kicked off when Sami Callihan hounded Y2J on Twitter for a spot on the cruise.
Callihan got his wish, being challenged by none other than Ring of Honor’s Marty Scurll on the social media platform. Impact Wrestling’s Callihan was quick to respond by tweeting, “You’ll never be a Villain to me… I know the real you. You’ll always be “Party Marty” aka the wrestler dude that was on that one British game show. See ya in October.”
First All In Match Confirmed
And speaking of Scurll, he was also part of All In’s double big announcement day. Along with announcing that former Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels, Kazarian and Scorpio Sky would be at the event, All In have announced Marty Scurll vs. the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion and Dave Meltzer star magnet Kazuchika Okada.
Scurll was quick to reveal via Twitter, that he has the perfect solution to the Rainmaker. Cody has also said that we’re going to get new matches announced for All In every week.
What’s interesting however is that All In’s Twitter account announced Okada vs. Scurll as “the very 1st match announced.” It’s interesting because back in May All In announced that Cody would be facing Nick Aldis for the NWA World Championship at the show, with Billy Corgan confirming the match at an NWA press conference.
Has that match since been scrapped, or are they planning something else? Or was it just a clerical error and Okada vs. Scurll is the very second match announced?
