New Title Match Set For WWE Clash At The Castle WWE

A new title match was announced for WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales for the Intercontinental Championship.

WWE SmackDown tonight (August 19) hosted a fatal 5-way match to determine who face Gunther at WWE Clash at the Castle for a Intercontinental Championship match.

The match competitors were Madcap Moss, Happy Corbin, Ricochet, Sheamus and the honorary Uce and Montreal native, Sami Zayn.

Entering to an enormous hometown pop, the crowd threw it back to sing a classic “Ole! Ole! Ole” chant for Zayn in honor of his ROH days as El Generico.

Another landmark moment from commentary on SmackDown with Michael Cole actually saying the Ring of Honor moniker on television.

After fan favorite Sami Zayn was removed partway through the match due to apparent injury, he got a close nearfall however was pulled straight out of the ring by Happy Corbin.

A shirtless Happy Corbin at that!

A short time later, Sheamus landed a big Brogue Kick on Happy Corbin to capture the pinfall victory and head to the UK to take on Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.

If you’re in the UK but didn’t manage to get tickets to Clash at the Castle on September 3, WrestleTalk is hosting a watch party at The Joiner on Worship in Shoreditch, London, and we’d love for you to join us! Click here for more details.
