Ilja Dragunov is set to face a former champion on tonight’s November 28 edition of WWE NXT.
Since winning the NXT Championship at No Mercy, Ilja Dragunov has been riding high on the top of his game as the face of the brand.
With successful title defenses against Carmelo Hayes and Dominik Mysterio so far, Dragunov has not backed down from any challenge as champion. He is set to defend his NXT Championship against Baron Corbin on December 9 at NXT Deadline.
In a WWE digital exclusive, Nathan Frazer and Axiom were shown watching the video package for the Deadline match. Frazer praised Dragunov before mentioning that he would prefer the lavish lifestyle of Corbin though.
The current NXT Champion interrupted to call out Frazer for looking down on the sacrifices he makes for his son and family.
The two then had a heated exchange, leading to Dragunov challenging the former NXT Heritage Cup Champion to a match on tonight’s November 28 episode of WWE NXT.
