Punched out of the Promotion

One of the advantages to being a little late with our review, is that we sometimes get a bit of news that was announced after the show.
There was a match between Moose and Braxton Sutter – something I’m never going to jump out of my chair for. Moose won, unsurprisingly, and then proceeded to cut a promo placing himself in the main event picture.
We will get to the main event scene later, but this seems totally unnecessary. I understand where Impact creative are coming for, and having someone physically bigger in the main event might add another dimension. I just don’t necessarily want to see it in practice.
Moose is great, but so far he’s been the ‘other guy’, latching on to other feuds as they pass him by. The cynical man inside me says that this is going to lead to a pointless title match with no build, we’re used to them by now, but I’m hoping they take this in another direction.
As for the news I mentioned before, it looks like we aren’t going to see much more of Braxton Sutter – has his contract with the company has expired, and he is moving on to other things. He of course might appear in a few more segments over the coming weeks, if they taped matches or segments before his contract ended. I’m personally not too sad to see him go, I don’t feel he’s added much to Impact for a while. All the best for him, with whatever comes next in his career.
