An injury update on two WWE stars after recent injury scares at a WWE live event after being announced for matches.
Over the weekend, a WWE NXT live event took place, and the event ended up making news due to two injury scares to WWE NXT stars.
At the event, both Lexis King and Elio LeFleur were helped to the back, which came ahead of this week’s WWE NXT show, where both men were set to be in action.
Elio LeFleur was set to team with Eli Knight as part of the ongoing NXT Tag Team Championship contender’s tournament, while Lexis King was likely set for a spot in the North American Championship contender’s Gauntlet match.
Two WWE NXT Stars Not Cleared To Compete
Tonight’s show kicked off with NXT General Manager Robert Stone finding both Knight and LeFleur taken out backstage, taking them out of their planned match, with LeFleur unable to compete.
Later in the night, Charlie Dempsey would end up being the Birthright member taking part in the Gauntlet match, coming to the ring with Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, Uriah Connors and Arianna Grace, but not Lexis King.
It was later confirmed by Vic Joseph that King had also not been cleared to compete on tonight’s show following his recent injury scare.
We wish both men all the best and a full and complete recovery.
WWE NXT Debuts Coming Soon
Ahead of WWE NXT’s biggest show of the year, Stand & Deliver, there are a number of big names we could soon see make their debuts for the NXT brand.
The first being independent wrestling standout Rayne Leverkusen, who recently signed with WWE as part of the latest batch of signings, with her having been named ‘MVP’ of WWE’s European tryouts over SummerSlam weekend last year.
There are also other major international stars set to debut for the NXT brand, with former New Japan Pro Wrestling stars EVIL and Hiromu Takahashi reportedly set to join WWE.
While it has been noted that EVIL wants to begin life in NXT, WWE have reportedly planned for him to start out on the main roster, while Hiromu will likely be part of the NXT brand.
With this new batch of talent coming in, NXT will soon be able to fill out the spots on it’s roster left by recent major call ups, such as Oba Femi, Trick Williams and Je’von Evans, as well as potential call ups for Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe, Sol Ruca and Jacy Jayne, who WWE should absolutely be looking at moving up post-WrestleMania 42.
