Interesting Statistic On AEW All In London Gate AEW

AEW President Tony Khan has provided another update on his acquisition of Ring of Honor, and the gate for AEW All In London.

With over 80,000 paid tickets for the August 27 pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium, it’s fair to say that All In London was a major success.

During a live edition of AEW Unrestricted at Starrcast, Khan confirmed that the gate for that event brought in ‘several times’ as much as he paid to buy Ring of Honor in March 2022.

When talking about his acquisition of the original All In 2018 event, Khan said:

“It is part of our video library. When I purchased Ring of Honor, Ring of Honor produced the show, I was able to buy the tape in the sale, which was a very lucrative part of the sale.

“In fact, the gate for Wembley Stadium at All In was several times the price of the entire company. I got quite a steal, to say the least.”

Khan previously revealed ahead of All In London that the gate for that event was ‘in the neighbourhood of $10 million‘.

The aforementioned All In 2018 event is often viewed as the spiritual predecessor of AEW, as this was the event hosted by Cody Rhodes, the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, ahead of them forming AEW in 2019.

AEW’s second ever event, All Out, was seen as an homage to All In 2018, ahead of AEW acquiring and using the All In name again.

Explaining why he chose to name the Chicago AEW event ‘All Out’, Khan said:

“All Out, honestly, got named because I didn’t want to name it All In and get sued by ROH.”

All Out 2023 is set to take place on September 3, one week on from All In London.
