Is Lana ‘Milwaukee’ storyline leading to sensational Rock return?

This Tuesday night on SmackDown Live, Rusev Day traitor Aiden English explained his scandalous actions last week against Rusev.

English blamed Rusev’s wife Lana for causing a rift between the two of them. He showed a video package of the success they enjoyed together, pointing out how popular they were throughout the show at WrestleMania.

He then showed another package of Rusev Day’s fortunes since Lana came on board, which had been skewed to show only the bad times. Defeats, fall outs, accidental distractions that cost matches. He’s not wrong, you know.

Watching the two side by side, one almost felt compelled to give WWE credit for expertly laying out a year-long angle . . . Almost.

What happens in Milwaukee . . .

English then explained that he knew Lana was going to go crying to Rusev about the nasty things she had overheard him saying about her, which would cause further issues between the former best friends.

Aiden decided to preempt that by taking the situation into his own hands.

He then dropped a bombshell, asking Lana that as she is always so honest with Rusev, was she going to tell him about “what happened in Milwaukee”?

He then dropped the microphone and left, clearly delighted with the big can of worms he had just opened.

So what happened?

Following Lana’s defeat to SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynn, English refused to elaborate on what happened in Milwaukee, but promised to provide video evidence on next week’s broadcast.

Lana, throughout her conversations with Rusev, denied any wrongdoing and acted like she had no idea what English was talking about.

However, there may be a long forgotten storyline from the past that is connected with this.

Back in 2016, The Rock returned to Raw and bumped into Lana, who was estranged from Rusev in storylines at the time. In his promo Rock asked her if she remembered the time she visited his hotel and taught her the “Wisconsin Wheelbarrow”.

Milwaukee is in Wisconsin . . .

The return of the Great One?

Although it is probably no more than a coincidence and in all likelihood WWE had completely forgotten about The Rock’s Wisconsin claims, it certainly makes for an interesting talking point.

The Rock has previous with Rusev, with the two engaging in a physical confrontation way back in 2014. Could English’s claims be paving the way for a sensational Rock return, perhaps on the 1000th episode of SmackDown?

Maybe the Saudi Arabia money has been enough to persuade Rock to get in the ring again at Crown Jewel for a battle with Rusev over Lana’s honour? (although that would be a tough sell without Lana actually able to appear on the show) We will find out more on next week’s show.

What do you think Aiden English’s Milwaukee claims are all about? Let us know!
