IShowSpeed has addressed his potential future in WWE after competing in his first official match at WrestleMania 42.

After making a cameo appearance in the 2025 Royal Rumble match, IShowSpeed made his official WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 42 this year, when he teamed with Austin Theory and Logan Paul of the Vision to face the Usos and LA Knight.

Knight and the Usos would pick up the win in the match, with Logan and Speed getting into a brawl after the match, with Speed putting Logan through the announce table with a Frog Splash.

IShowSpeed Says He Will Take WWE More Serious In The Future

Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, Speed was asked about his future, and a potential return to WWE after his first match at WrestleMania.

Speed noted that he believes at some point he will take WWE more serious and immerse himself into the industry.

He said:

“I genuinely think at some point in my career, I will take WWE a bit more serious and actually deliver my full self into it and immerse myself into it, but right now I’m still figuring out what I really want to do.”

More Celebrity Involvement In WWE Coming Soon?

Prior to WrestleMania 42, there was a lot of conversation both among fans and those within the company about the presence of celebrities in WWE.

The conversation came after TKO and Ari Emanuel had inserted Pat McAfee into the main event between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, with Jelly Roll also being part of the conflict, getting involved in the match.

As well as McAfee and Jelly Roll, WWE featured Logan Paul, who is a contracted wrestler with the promotion, IShowSpeed and Lil Yachty in prominent positions on the show, with reports emerging that WWE and TKO were not planning on stopping any time soon.

On one hand, celebrities coming in to the company can bring more eyes on the product, especially names like Speed with such a major following, which makes obvious business sense from TKO.

However, after the past two years of Pat McAfee and Travis Scott centered WrestleMania main events, there is undeniably fan burnout of celebrity involvement in WWE, and while Speed’s appearance at WrestleMania was largely praised, the fatigue could wear off on him and others if TKO continues to insist on using famous faces over it’s active roster.
