WWE’s Logan Paul Admits He Was ‘In The Wrong’ After Attacking IShowSpeed At WrestleMania 42 WWE

Logan Paul has addressed his attack on IShowSpeed after The Vision’s loss to LA Knight & The Usos at WWE WrestleMania 42.

Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 opened with IShowSpeed teaming up with The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) taking on The Usos & LA Knight.

With IShowSpeed’s involvement coming after a curse from Danhausen, a series of unfortunate events, and an inadvertent attack on LA Knight, things wouldn’t go well for the streamer, with Paul berating and striking him after their loss.

While Logan threw the first punch, it was Speed who ultimately stood tall, with The Usos and LA Knight evening the odds against the Vision and encouraging the streamer to put Logan Paul through the announce table with a splash.

Addressing his actions on Impaulsive, Logan Paul went through a rollercoaster of opinion about IShowSpeed, initially saying:

“He used to be my guy. F**k, Speed. He put me through a table today. He turned the tables on my table. He stabbed me in the back, which is crazy because I taught him everything he knows about wrestling.”

With basketball’s Matt Kiatipis initially appearing to accept Paul’s recollection of events, co-host Mike Majlak would ask if it was actually the World Tag Team Champion who had dragged IShowSpeed onto the commentary table first, with Paul responding:

“No. No. No, bro. You joined the WWE on my team, so pull your f**king weight. You have one job and that is be an asset to the team, not a liability.

“(Did you hurt him?) No. Opposite. Opposite. He hurt us. He ran into me, then he ran into Theory. Speed ran into me, then ran into Theory, so s**t we’re outnumbered, and then Austin got pinned. He cost us the match. We f**king lost because of Speed, so I punched him in the face.”

Kiatipis would once again seem to agree with Paul, but would then ask for clarity on the events, with Paul agreeing that he punched Speed in the face before being put through a table by the streamer, with the WWE star confirming:

“Yeah, that was the order of events.”

With that sorted, Kiatipis would change tack, saying he was “all in loyalty”, but asking if Paul’s whole attitude toward Speed was justified, causing a change in the mindset of the World Tag Team Champion, who said:

“I guess I did forget about the punch. I punched him hard as f**k. I’m not going to lie, it was one of my cleanest punches. I f**king smoked him.

“Now that I’m talking about it, I think I am in the wrong here. I’ll take accountability.”

It remains to be seen whether IShowSpeed and Logan Paul will have a reconciliation in WWE, particularly with The Vision having to deal with the return of The Street Profits and their alliance with Seth Rollins on the Raw after WrestleMania 42.

The Star Power Of IShowSpeed

A social media influencer who has parlayed his streaming celebrity into a WrestleMania moment, IShowSpeed has followed in the footsteps of Logan Paul as an “outsider” who has made a positive mark.

While IShowSpeed is yet to become a signed WWE star, his two appearances have both been noteworthy. The men’s Royal Rumble match earlier this year saw him on the receiving end of a Spear from Bron Breakker, while WrestleMania 42 saw his reluctance to get involved with The Vision transform into a standout moment where he hit a splash on Logan Paul post-match.

The aforementioned Splash saw praise from Drew McIntyre, who noted the personality of IShowSpeed and Logan Paul and how that was a strength in connecting with the fans.

The build to the match was entertaining in itself, with IShowSpeed having been cursed by Danhausen and experiencing a number of catastrophes outside of WWE, with the streamer clearly taking what was happening on television in his stride and with commitment. His viewers even got to see LA Knight make an appearance on stream, attacking Speed, with the aftermath being addressed during a Ballers League game, furthering the crossover appeal.

There were many doubters of Logan Paul in the early days of his run, yet he has broadly proved his critics wrong. There’s every chance that IShowSpeed could be yet another “outsider” to see success in WWE.
