John Cena Calls Danhausen WWE WrestleMania 42 Segment One Of His ‘Favorite WrestleMania Moments’ WWE

John Cena has celebrated getting an updated photo with Danhausen, having shared the ring with the star at WWE WrestleMania 42.

Night 2 of WWE WrestleMania 42, saw John Cena announce the attendance at Allegiant Stadium, with The Miz and Kit Wilson interrupting, leading to Danhausen appearing with a troupe of mini versions of himself, to irritate his SmackDown foes.

With Danhausen delivering a Five Knuckle Shuffle to The Miz, Cena’s enjoyment of what he’d experienced would see him declare it among his favorite WrestleMania moments.

Recapping the segment, Danhausen first tweeted:

55,000 humans cheered for Danhausen and chanted You. Are. Cursed! as Danhausen stood in a @WWE ring with his great new best friend @JohnCena at WRESTLEMANIA.

Never Give Uphausen. Thank you John.

Cena re-shared Danhausen’s post with the caption:

“One of my favorite #WrestleMania moments ever. So happy we got an updated photograph together.”

The post would be accompanied by a photo of Cena and Danhausen together at a New York Comic Con appearance, with the recently signed star having shared that photo on his own Instagram back in October 2021.

A star with a less favorable opinion of Danhausen was Kit Wilson, who was on the receiving end of a low blow and a beatdown at the hands of the many mini Danhausens.

The Art Of The First WrestleMania Moment

Every WrestleMania will sees stars appear for the first time, whether it be in a match or in an in-ring segment.

Having the opportunity to share the ring with John Cena, the host of the two-night WWE Premium Live Event, must have been a highlight for both Kit Wilson and Danhausen.

Sure, it wasn’t a match, but what was offered was entertaining in its own right, and the fans at Allegiant Stadium clearly enjoyed what was happening.

Cena and The Miz are old pros when it comes to WrestleMania moments, with the former first competing at the key event back at WrestleMania 20 in 2004, and the latter getting his moment at WrestleMania 24 in 2008.

For Danhausen, who only made his debut at Elimination Chamber in February, and Wilson, who made his SmackDown debut alongside Elton Prince as Pretty Deadly in 2023, WrestleMania 42 was the perfect way to get them on the main stage. Wilson, in particular, has seen his career skyrocket since adopting his anti-toxic masculinity persona at the start of this year.

While the likes of Oba Femi, who is more than familiar with Kit Wilson, may have had his first WrestleMania moment with a victory over Brock Lesnar, it doesn’t track that every star who debuts at the event must do so in a match. The skit is a perfectly reasonable way to add something different to the variety show that is professional wrestling, particularly at the level of the two-night WWE PLE.

Coming out of WrestleMania 42, it’s unlikely that either star will see their shine diminish, thanks to their sheer entertainment value and the reaction they garnered on their own terms, particularly in the presence of such seasoned professionals as John Cena and The Miz.
