Jack Perry Update After CM Punk Footage Shown On AEW Dynamite AEW

An update has been provided on former AEW World Tag Team Champion Jack Perry after the CM Punk footage was shown on AEW Dynamite.

On the April 10 edition of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks presented the never-before-seen CM Punk and Jack Perry All In backstage footage.

Matthew and Nicholas Jackson suggested that the backstage fight were the reason they lost to FTR at the Wembley Stadium event to hype their rematch coming up at AEW Dynasty.

This was the first time Jack Perry has been directly referenced on AEW programming since being suspended following the event. Perry has since joined the House of Torture stable in NJPW earlier this year.

Less than 24 hours following the footage being aired, Jack Perry’s “Scapegoat” shirt has sold out on his official website. Furthermore, the House of Torture’s “Cry Me A River” shirt is currently the top selling item on the NJPW Shop website.

Matthew Jackson was wearing the “Scapegoat” shirt as they presented the footage that showed Punk shoving and then grabbing Perry in a front face lock.

Perry began to refer to himself as “Scapegoat” after showing up at NJPW Battle In The Valley where he attacked Shota Umino and ripped up his AEW contract. The former Jungle Boy will face Umino at NJPW Windy City Riot in Punk’s hometown of Chicago this Friday, April 12.

The backstage reaction in WWE to AEW airing CM Punk and Jack Perry All In footage has been revealed, which you can read here.
