Jeff Hardy Reference During AEW Dynamite You May Have Missed

AEW made one big signing last night in Keith Lee, but it looks like we’ll only have to wait a month for Jeff Hardy to join the party.

There had already been a few hints that last night’s debut could have been Hardy, and after something that happened on last night’s show, it does seem almost a certainty that the debut is coming soon.

During the Keith Lee vs Isiah Kassidy match, Matt Hardy was in Kassidy’s corner, and there seems to be an ongoing storyline where Matt is becoming disappointed in Private Party’s failures, which many expect to lead to a Private Party vs Hardy Boyz match when Jeff comes in.

Well last night, Matt got so annoyed with Kassidy’s performance that he jumped the guardrail and left the ringside area – seemingly purposely reminiscent of the house show incident that Jeff’s WWE release stemmed from.

Commentary also made a very particular interesting remark as he did it, with Tony Schiavone referring to Matt’s actions as “erratic”, the same word that was used to describe Jeff’s.

Jeff will become available on March 10 after his non-compete expires, and WWE did give him an offer to return when they realised they were premature in believing he would fail a drug test.

That offer even included a Hall of Fame induction, but Jeff rejected it on the basis that they wouldn’t be able to induct the Hardy Boyz together because of Matt’s ties to AEW.
