All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dynamite announcer Jim Ross has announced he’ll be taking time away from calling the action.
Ross has been dealing with skin cancer in recent times, and will be undergoing radiation therapy starting this coming Monday.
He noted that he hopes to be back for the December 29 episode of Dynamite, but it sounds like he’ll be gone until then.
He tweeted:
Due to my skin cancer care totaling 22 radiation treatments starting Monday, I will hopefully return to the announce desk on December 29 in Jacksonville. @TonyKhan supports me on this strategy which has been a blessing. My thanks for all your support.
It hasn’t been revealed yet who, if anyone, will be replacing Ross alongside Excalibur and Tony Schiavone.
We continue to send Jim Ross all our best wishes at this time.
