In a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley after his appearance at WWE SmackDown tonight (September 1) John Cena spoke on a variety of topics.

Including his hosting turn announced on tonight’s SmackDown for tomorrow night’s premium live event, WWE Payback.

In the WWE online exclusive interview, John Cena also comments on several matches set for the card including giving his thoughts on The Miz taking on LA Knight.

Noting that he still felt the Miz was underrated, he admired the persistence of LA Knight as someone who literally has the merch that reads, “Never Give Up”.

When discussing his hosting duties, Cena noted that hosting a WWE premium live event was very different from an awards show so he has to be ready to expect anything.

After having a tussle in the ring earlier on SmackDown with Jimmy Uso that has gone unanswered thus far, he might truly need to expect anything!
