John Cena’s Reaction To Potential Heel Turn Revealed WWE

John Cena’s reaction to a potential heel turn has been revealed.

From 2005 to 2015, John Cena was considered the top babyface in all of WWE.

For as long as he was on top of the company, fans have given the 16-time world champion a polarizing reaction and wondered if a heel turn was ever in the plans.

Appearing on the Cheap Heat podcast, former WWE writer Brian Gerwirtz revealed Cena’s reaction to a potential heel turn.

He said:

“All right, listen, you want to turn me heel? If that’s what Vince [McMahon] says you guys want me to do, I’ll do it. But just so you know, I will go full-bore heel. There won’t be none of that like, ‘Oh, he’s a fun heel, he’s a cool heel, he’s winking at the audience heel.'”

Gerwirtz added:

“He is going to go full heel. That’s what he wants to do, which would have been awesome.”

Brian Gerwirtz continued on to discuss how turning Cena heel was brought up on multiple occasions that there was always a reason why it couldn’t or didn’t happen.

He said:

“We did push plenty of times for John to turn heel, and there was a lot of reasoning going into it. [McMahon] was tempted … but ultimately, there was like the merch [sales] and everything John does.”

During a recent Q&A session, John Cena discussed whether a 17th world title reign was on the cards for the legend.
