Juice Robinson On Working With Jon Moxley: ‘It Wasn’t A Sunday Roast Dinner’

One of the biggest rivalries of 2019 in New Japan Pro Wrestling was Juice Robinson vs. Jon Moxley. The two had a history dating back to their time in FCW but with Moxley free from his proverbial shackles, they reignited this history in Japan. Now, Robinson has said their first match was just a fight.

Robinson recently spoke with Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT and was asked about the match they had at the Best of the Super Junior Final. Here is what he had to say:

“How do you think it feels to get your face bitten off in front of 12,000 innocent Japanese people? Moxley walked into Ryogoku and mopped the floor with my ass. That’s how it felt to ‘work’ with Moxley. It wasn’t a Sunday roast dinner. It was a f****** fight.”

This was Moxley’s first match since leaving WWE a month earlier. The two did have a very violent match resulting in Moxley winning the IWGP United States Championship.

Robinson was able to win their rematch at the G1 Climax B Block Final and they had their rubber match at Wrestle Kingdom 14. Moxley was able to win that match and put the rivalry to bed for good. Considering how physical the rivalry was, that is probably best for the wellbeing of both men.
