A WWE Hall of Famer has commented on the possibility of wrestling one more match.
Kane was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, but the year was also significant with it being his last time he entered a wrestling ring when he made a special appearance in the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
“The Big Red Machine” hasn’t competed in a singles or tag team match since WWE Crown Jewel 2018 when he teamed with The Undertaker to face DX’s Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
Speaking with PWMania, Kane was asked about the possibility of returning to wrestling one more match in WWE. He answered:
“I’ll always leave that door open. In WWE we never say never. I don’t know what will happen. I do some stuff here and there in the WWE.”
“That’s a part of me and it’s something I enjoy and want to do for the rest of my life. If it’s something in the ring, I don’t know. Maybe you have to ask Kane that question.”
Kane made his last appearance on WWE TV at SummerSlam 2022, which took place in Nashville, Tennessee, to give the attendance for the event. He currently serves as the mayor of Knoxville County in Tennessee.
When asked about being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, the former WWE Champion replied:
“It’s the pinnacle of what we do. There aren’t that many people in it. To be honored like that with people I watched, and idolized as a kid growing up like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and of course Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Bruno Sammartino, it’s hard to believe that I’m in there too.”
“It’s hard for me to think I belong in that group. It’s a tremendous compliment, and still, even now it’s almost surreal to even think about.”
Kane’s career will be chronicled on this coming Sunday, March 12 edition of A&E Biography: WWE Legends.
