Kazuchika Okada Reveals How Much Time On Top He Thinks He Has Left AEW

Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada has revealed how much time on top he thinks he has left.

2024 marks the 20th year of Kazuchika Okada’s professional wrestling career.

At only 36 years of age, Okada has become a prominent star in the pro wrestling business as a former six-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion and the longest reigning world champion in company history.

Speaking to New Japan for a new interview series ahead of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18, Kazuchika Okada revealed that he believes he has ten years left being at the top of the industry. He said:

“I debuted in 2004, so this is my 20th anniversary. I’ve come this far, no big injuries and that’s great.”

“But I think I have less than 10 more years right at the very top. So on the way to my 30th anniversary, I have to make every day count.”

“It’ll be a bit sad to have my 20th anniversary without a belt, so I want a singles belt around my waist in 2024.”

“I have a lot of dreams, and the biggest is to further professional wrestling. I want more people to know how great wrestling is.”

“To do that, I have to keep having great matches and bring them to people all over the world.”

Kazuchika Okada will face Bryan Danielson in a rematch from AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in the Tokyo Dome at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18.
