Last night’s special edition of AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam was opened by the dream match of AEW Champion Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson, who was making his in-ring debut for the promotion.
As many had predicted, it was a fantastic match, and as many other had predicted, it went to a 30-minute time-limit draw.
While the crowd largely booed the result, the overwhelming reaction to the match has been very positive, and Omega himself has now shared his thoughts on the match.

So rematch confirmed, I suppose.
AEW’s next PPV is Full Gear on November 13, so there’s every chance Tony Khan is planning to book a rematch for that show.
Either way, the match was proof that Danielson hasn’t lost a step since leaving WWE, and that we can expect to see plenty more great matches for the American Dragon in AEW.
