Current AEW Champion Says Potential All In Match Would Be ‘Amazing’

A recently crowned champion in AEW has said that it would be “amazing” to compete against Saraya at Wembley Stadium for August 27’s historic AEW All In event.

In a recent interview with Nick Hausman, TBS Champion Kris Statlander spoke of her excitement at competing in the UK for the very first time in her career.

“I think it’s very, very exciting.

One thing that’s very exciting for me, I was like, I really, really hope that my recovery has made good to go before the show because it’s going to be my first time ever going to the UK.

“I was supposed to go a few years ago, before I got signed with AEW, and then the day I was supposed to fly there, the Thomas Cook Airlines shut down completely. It was such a nightmare and I wasn’t able to go.”

While All In will be Statlander’s first time in the UK, for Saraya it will be a homecoming, later in the same interview Statlander spoke of a potential match with the ‘hometown hero’ saying:

“But yeah, if I get the chance to wrestle Saraya at Wembley, I think that would be an amazing thing.

“I would love to absolutely do that. That’s a lot of pressure, you know. She’s the hometown hero, but I’m the champion.

“So it’s like, ‘Oh, no,’ but I think it would be so much fun.

“I’d be willing to wrestle anybody at that show, but yeah, I never even thought of that as a possibility. I think that would be so so cool, though.”

While All In is still over two months away many fans have been fantasy booking matches they would like to see, with many including fellow British stars such as Will Ospreay.

Despite being outspoken in his desire to appear on the monumental show, the former IWGP United States Champion responded to the rumors of an appearance, hinting that nothing was yet planned.
