Kyle O’Reilly has made a surprise return at tonight’s AEW Revolution 2024 pay-per-view after a big win by an old friend.
Tonight at AEW Revolution 2024, Orange Cassidy looked to defend his International Championship against Roderick Strong.
However, Roderick Strong was able to pick up the win and capture the title from Cassidy, and after doing so, he was met by a surprise return.
The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett specifically) ran down to celebrate with Roddy, when there was a mysterious third figure who would appear behind them.
Dressed quite casually in shorts and a t-shirt, Kyle O’Reilly appeared from out of nowhere and entered the ring.
While he did share an embrace with Roderick Strong, when he was given an Undisputed Kingdom t-shirt to put on, he declined.
KOR left the ring and walked back up the ramp by himself in a mysterious ending to the segment which saw Strong win his first championship in AEW.
Earlier in the show, another Undisputed Kingdom member Wardlow picked up a victory in the ‘All Star 8-Man Scramble’ to earn a future shot at the AEW World Championship.
Who will walk out of Revolution the champ remains to be seen as Samoa Joe will look to defend the title against both Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland in a three-way.
