LA Knight Addresses Not Being Used At WrestleMania 39 WWE

SmackDown star LA Knight has now addressed his absence from WrestleMania 39, following his rise in popularity.

Ahead of the April premium live event, which emanated from California’s SoFi Stadium, there were numerous teases that fan-favourite LA Knight would be in LA, with hints even beginning during his run as ‘Max Dupri’.

Knight didn’t make the WrestleMania 39 card however, with his only in-ring appearance that weekend seeing him compete in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal which took place on the go-home edition of SmackDown.

Speaking with BT Sport, Knight noted that he felt satisfied with the reaction Los Angeles gave him on that episode of SmackDown.

Admitting that he’s looking forward, rather than backwards, he said:

“I kinda let that one just stay where it was because I had let out all my anger and frustration the night before, because I felt very vindicated by the reaction that LA had given me at the SmackDown the night before.

“It was big, it was huge, and it kinda made me even more pissed off that I didn’t have something going on the next day.

“So, at that point though I had to just be like, ‘Well, it is what it is, bye’, and just kind of left it in the rear-view mirror at that point. So I haven’t really sat and thought about it, reflected on it, whatever.

“Glaring omission you say? Yeah. Maybe even a stumble or a fumble, I don’t know. But here we are and we’re gonna make up for it.”

Many fans are calling for Knight to win the Money in the Bank ladder match at this Saturday’s (July 1) premium live event.
