Lady Frost has confirmed that she is now a free agent, following her departure from AEW on April 1 of this year.
With reports that Lady Frost would become a free agent after her AEW contract expired, the star has now confirmed that this is the case.
In a post on Twitter, Lady Frost thanked Tony Khan and set her sights on her future, writing:
“As of today, I am a free agent.
“I want to thank @TonyKhan for being an incredibly kind and passionate boss. I had some of the most incredible moments with
@AEW and I am so grateful for the years that I spent there.
“For now, I’m on the hunt. Onto the next…”
Lady Frost made her AEW debut back in 2020 on the now-defunct Dark show, competing in Ring of Honor and CMLL during her tenure.
Returning to AEW Dynamite in 2023, Frost was last seen on Collision, losing to Mina Shirakawa on the January 10 episode.
Where Next For Lady Frost?
Lady Frost has had a varied career in professional wrestling, including making her having her debut match against Asuka on WWE Raw back in March 2018.
The loss would be the only time the then Jamie Frost would compete in WWE, heading to the independent scene later that year and being reborn as Lady Frost.
A former valet, along with being an in-ring competitor, Frost has had runs in NWA, CMLL and TNA Wrestling, clocking up over 250 matches across a nine-year period.
A return to the independent scene would be the most likely short-term goal for Lady Frost, although one wonders where she would fit into the landscape of modern-day TNA Wrestling or WWE, be it on the main roster or NXT.
She has competed in Mexico for CMLL over the past few years, seeing success in the Copa Bicentenario in 2022, and challenging for the promotion’s World Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Japan is yet to feature in her history, with the potential for a tour of the country not out of the question, and there are certainly other international destinations that Lady Frost could call home for a period of time
Regardless of her future direction, it’s clear that Lady Frost has fond memories of her time in AEW, and particularly in the leadership of Tony Khan.
