Lance Archer Explains Why He Joined AEW (Exclusive)

Lance Archer was one of the hottest free agents in the world when he joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) at the beginning of 2020, and the “Muderhawk Monster” has told WrestleTalk why he decided to join Tony Khan’s company.

After being in Japan for so many years, Lance Archer told WrestleTalk that he wanted to come back to the US and “travel”, saying:

“When I first signed on with AEW, that was part of the lure to come back to the US, because I’d been in Japan for nearly nine years at that point. It was the idea that I was gonna get to travel the US and see places, and at the time, we had a lot of stuff scheduled to travel around the world, different places and whatnot.

Lance Archer was only at one AEW show before COVID-19 moved Dynamite to Daily’s Place, and he has revealed that he cannot wait to get back on the road with AEW in July:

“Obviously, things happened and it is what it is, but luckily we continued to move forward as a show and do things for fans, one of the only live sporting events of any nature that was going on continuously, never stopped throughout the entire situation in the world.

“Come July, we hit the road, starting in Miami and then two shows in Texas back-to-back, so I get to be basically near home for two weeks which is awesome, so a lot of my friends and family will get to come to these shows and see me kick some butt.”
