There has been the latest update on the planned launch of NXT Europe following the closure of NXT UK last year.
The brand officially closed last year, when the championships were unified with the NXT championships at Worlds Collide in September.
The brand was planned for launch in 2023, but with only a few months left of the year, we are yet to hear any more about the status of the potential new brand.
In an update from PWInsider, the brand is still on docket, but obviously with the sale to Endeavor still being finalised, those within the company don’t realistically expect anything to move forward until early 2024.
The company reportedly has plans in mind for talents and coaches to be involved with the brand.
One of the names bounced around as a coach for the brand is former NXT UK star Sha Samuels, who left the company with the closure of NXT UK, and has guest coached at the WWE Performance Center since.
There will also be a Performance Center for talents to train at, with the expectation being that it will not be centered in London.
We will provide more on the status of NXT Europe as it becomes available.
