Here is the latest on plans for the Christmas Day edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, with the live event schedule for late-December revealed.
With Christmas Day falling on a Monday this year, many have wondered what WWE will do for programming on December 25.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, December 25 isn’t a date listed on the live event schedule, indicating that WWE will not be running a Raw taping on this date.
Discussing the holiday season WWE schedule, Meltzer wrote:
The biggest house show week of the year, the week after Christmas, had the schedule announced. The Monday is 12/25 and they are not running a show that day, so Raw will either be a Best of show or they will tape two episodes of Raw on 12/18 or do a taping on 12/19.
It’s almost impossible to tape two episodes in one night because of the length of Raw. There will be the annual 12/26 show in Madison Square Garden.
They also run 12/26 in Baltimore. 12/27 has shows in Boston and Detroit. 12/28 is Montreal and Houston. 12/29 will be a Smackdown taping in Toronto and a Raw brand house show in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
They are also running 12/30 at the Forum in Los Angeles. There will be a 1/1 live Raw from San Diego
WWE previously held a WWE Raw live taping on Christmas Day in 2017.
More recently, WWE made adjustments to its schedule due to the Christmas and New Years holidays with the December 23, 2022 episode of SmackDown taped the previous week.
An update recently emerged on the future of the Madison Square Garden venue ahead of WWE’s house show there on December 26, which you can read more about right here.
