Sasha Banks has probably been released by WWE, but then again she is still on the roster page so maybe she hasn’t. The point in, she may or may not have been released by WWE, but she probably has, and therefore she’s probably under some kind of non-compete clause.
The non-compete clause in WWE contracts bans talent from appearing for other wrestling promotions for a certain period of time, but it does not mean that talent can’t explore other lines of work.
While speaking to Wrestling Inc, former WWE and AEW star Lio Rush spoke about his new EP “Not Alone 2” which will be dropping on Friday, June 24, and welcomed the suggestion Sasha Banks could appear on one of his future songs.
Rush said:
“Sasha can hop on a track for sure. The invitation is open.”
When asked whether he had actually heard Sasha sing, Lio admitted he hadn’t, but referenced Sasha’s rather famous cousin as to why he thinks she’d be good.
“I haven’t, but, you know, with her cousin being Snoop Dogg, I’m pretty sure there’s some talent there.”
I know it’s a pretty niche reference, but for those not in the hip-hop know like I am, Snoop Dogg is a rapper (according to Wikipedia).
As for Sasha Banks, we are still awaiting confirmation as to her position, or lack of position within WWE, but will of course update you as soon as we know anything else.
