A new report has revealed an update on the mainstream coverage of CM Punk’s WWE return at Survivor Series: War Games.
The wrestling world is still buzzing from the shocking return of CM Punk to WWE for the first time in nearly a decade at Survivor Series: War Games in Chicago.
The reaction from wrestlers and fans has been polarizing with some happy and excited to see Punk back in the promotion to those who are upset with his presence in WWE.
As you’ve likely seen, Punk’s return received a ton of mainstream press on the likes of ESPN, USA Today, BBC, FOX News, and more.
Per Dave Meltzer in F4WOnline’s Daily Update, on Google, CM Punk returning to WWE was the second most searched term in the country yesterday with 500,000.
David Benavidez, a boxer, was number four with 200,000 searches on November 25.
Punk and Benavidez were the only things in wrestling, boxing or MMA to crack the top 20 on Google on a specific day this week.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on CM Punk’s WWE return when they become available.
