A top NJPW star could be leaving the company after a former champion issued a challenge for a Loser Leaves Japan Match.
Having lost the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, Jay White wasted no time in blaming Hikuleo.
At New Japan’s New Year Dash!! on January 5, White would be back in action with his Bullet Club brethren of KENTA, El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori, taking on Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hikuleo, Tama Tonga and Master Wato.
With the match seeing Bullet Club lose by DQ after El Phantasmo struck Tama Tonga with the NEVER Openweight Championship, White floored Hikuleo with a flurry of chairshots.
Standing over his fallen former comrade, White blamed Hikuleo for the loss to Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 17 and promised to take everything from the man.
It was at that point that White would issue a Loser Leaves Japan Match.
This announcement send social media into overdrive, with some speculation that Jay White’s time in NJPW is coming to an end and considering what his future options would be.
With Gallows and Anderson currently in WWE, along with AJ Styles and Finn Balor, many are speculating that he could be heading towards the Triple H-led company.
