Tearing your meniscus seems to be the fashionable thing to do in WWE at the moment. Just weeks after Big E was sidelined with a torn meniscus, Dominik Dijakovic from NXT tore one of his.
The “Rare Breed” hasn’t revealed when the injury took place, but took to Twitter to announce that he would be undergoing surgery.

A statement on WWE.com reads:
“I’m happy that I had a tear in my meniscus, because this represents sacrifice,” he said. “This represents discipline.”
“Explaining that his family members were “the only ones waiting” for him when the surgery was through, Dijakovic further explained that the support of his family would motivate him in his continued pursuit of the NXT North American Title currently held by Velveteen Dream.
“They will drive me to return stronger than ever and to regain what is rightfully ours — that’s the North American Championship.”
Dijakovic is one of the biggest stars in NXT and looked to be heading for big things prior to this injury, so hopefully he can make a quick recovery and get back to where he was.
The average recovery time for this type of injury is about three months.
