Randy Orton has been out of action with a back injury since May 2022.
Orton’s last match saw he and Matt Riddle lose the Raw Tag Team Championship to the Usos on the May 20 episode of SmackDown.
There has been a lot of concern from within the company regarding Orton’s future, with some concerned about if he’d be able to return to the ring at all.
Recently, there was reportedly internal rumblings regarding Orton’s status in the company, with him not being mentioned at all in the prior months, signifying that he was closing in on a return.
In an update from PWInsider Elite (subscription required), Orton is slated to be in Los Angeles for WrestleMania weekend, which would be his return to being there.
It is not yet confirmed if he will appear on screen on either night of WrestleMania, or Raw the following night.
Orton has appeared at every WrestleMania event since his debut in 2002 with the exception of WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
Fans have speculated that Orton would be the first challenger for Cody Rhodes should the American Nightmare win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania.
