A former WWE star hopes Edge’s last match isn’t on the August 18 edition of SmackDown.
In 1998, Edge made his debut on the WWE main roster. Over the course of the next 25 years, he has left an unforgettable legacy as a multi-time world champion and WWE Hall of Famer.
On the August 18 episode of SmackDown, “The Rated R Superstar” will face Sheamus in a first time ever matchup to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of his debut.
Edge has gone on to explain that this upcoming match is the last one on his current WWE contract and also explained his unsureness over his wrestling future.
In a tweet, FOX Sports’ Ryan Satin questioned whether the match would mark Edge’s final WWE bout. Former WWE star Matt Cardona responded by tweeting that he hoped not.
Explaining that Edge has “gotta wait for me to come home,” Cardona wrote:
I hope not. He’s gotta wait for me to come home. https://t.co/dHGpNWUymc
