Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) Comments On Bayley ‘Main Eventing’ WrestleMania 40 WWE

Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) has commented on Bayley’s recent success in WWE, believing she should main event WrestleMania 40.

Sasha Banks and Bayley have formed a bond throughout their paralleled careers in WWE, being both best friends and enemies during their time together.

Following Sasha’s departure in 2022, Bayley has continued to support the now Mercedes Mone in her outside endeavours.

Bayley herself has had a rather successful 2024 so far, with her winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match and challenging former stablemate IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 40.

Speaking on the Kick Rocks podcast, Mercedes spoke about being proud of Bayley, and how she believes that her match with IYO should main event WrestleMania.

She said:

“I am nothing but so proud and so happy for her. And to be the person from afar, I get to see her from afar I get to see her do all this and see all her hard work, and hear her talk about her dreams and her hopes and what she wants to do in that business, and to see it come through and to see so much magic that woman can make.

“She does so much for that division and I’m just beyond proud to know, to me, that she is going to Main event WrestleMania, because that’s how it should be.

“I am just beyond the moon for her, shes had a crazy past three years coming from the pandemic, getting injured, seeing her go through that.”

Mercedes is expected to make her debut for AEW at next week’s Big Business special episode of Dynamite in Boston.
