Former IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone has commented on the backstage structure within All Elite Wrestling.
At AEW Big Business, Mercedes Mone made her long awaited debut to the company in front of her hometown of Boston.
With only three weeks under the “All Elite” banner, it should be interesting to see how Mone will get used to the different backstage structure in AEW in comparison to her previous home with WWE.
Tony Khan is the company’s CEO, President and head of creative, while Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of The Young Bucks serve as EVPs.
In a recent interview with James Stewart of the Stick to Wrestling Podcast, Mercedes Mone commented on Tony Khan and The Young Bucks’ roles backstage. She said:
“We work together as a partnership. I love my EVPs, I love my Chairman. As the CEO. I just bring so much more money to the table.”
Mercedes Mone has yet to interact with AEW EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson on the company’s programming at the time of this writing.
