NJPW star Minoru Suzuki is returning to the United States later this year.
Minoru Suzuki has been a mainstay for New Japan Pro Wrestling over the past decade, but he has made less appearances for the promotion throughout the course of 2021 and 2022.
“The Murder Grandpa” has instead made his presence known in America for a variety of independent promotions as well as All Elite Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling.
In a tweet, Suzuki announced that he would be coming back to the country for about a month in October.
He wrote the following:
I am planning to go to America for a month in October. I want to fight. I have a few appointments with some worthy opponents, but there are still some dates available. I am hungry…
Last week, it was revealed that the NJPW star will appear for DEFY Wrestling for their upcoming live event on Saturday, October 29.
The former IWGP Intercontinental Champion competed at a number of shows in the United States the last few months of 2021 and the first half of 2022. He made his debut for AEW at All Out 2021, confronting Jon Moxley ahead of a showdown with him on Dynamite last September.
Along with appearances for GCW, West Coast Pro and Glory Pro, Suzuki won the ROH World Television Championship at Supercard of Honor in April. He went on to lose the title to Samoa Joe on AEW Dynamite a few weeks later.
Minoru Suzuki will make his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling on their upcoming Burning Spirit tour in September.
