IMPACT Wrestling star Moose was recently interviewed by Wrestling Inc, where he discussed many things about the show, including its current evolution, its future, and who he thinks could be a big star for the company down the line.

The Slammiversary main-eventer was asked about the changes that have taken place in the company in recent times:
“It’s been great and you could tell because of our product in the last few months. It’s been great as a testament to the guys in the office running it with Don [Callis] and Scott [D’Amore].”
This echoes what other IMPACT alumni have been saying with regard to management being the primary reason the company is having greater fortunes as of late.
When pressed further, Moose expanded:
“It’s being different and that’s what I feel like we have done compared to other companies we’re different. Our stuff is more like a movie like the stuff Eddie [Edwards] did with Sami [Callihan], it was more like watching a suspense movie compared to a wrestling match, you know? That’s the kind of stuff I think we need to keep doing to keep making our stuff stand out.”
A similar outlook to something like Lucha Underground could be a good move forward for IMPACT, towards a more cinematic style to be an alternative to WWE’s more ‘realistic’ setting. When talking about future stars, Moose mentioned one in particular:
“I see big things with Tessa [Blanchard]. She just signed with the company and she’s a [third]-generation wrestler and I see big things coming from her in the future.”
There’s no doubt IMPACT being able to sign stars on long-term deals is a massive boost to the company, and with ratings on the rise, fan perception changing to the positive, and high-calibre matches taking place on the regular, IMPACT are positioning themselves to be a driving force in the pro wrestling world.
